Did you know that Americans eat more candy at Easter than at any other holiday? Did you know that Marshmallow Peeps are the most popular Easter treat? Easter is celebrated on April 12th. It is always celebrated on the first Sunday following the full moon of the vernal equinox. This holiday marks the rebirth of Jesus for Christians it is also the time for children to enjoy chocolate bunnies, marshmallow chicks and jellybean-filled Easter eggs.
To celebrate Easter, Morgan Kjenstad is going to her grandmas to celebrate Easter and her grandma’s birthday. Morgan’s favorite part of Easter is going on Easter eggs hunts, but she doesn’t believe in the Easter bunny. Briana DeBoer loves Easter “I can see my family, and it means it's starting to get close to the summer since its spring!” On Easter her family usually goes to her grandparents’ house to paint eggs and go on Easter egg hunts. A lot of people have childhood memories about Easter. High School Social Studies teacher Heather Schwenn’s childhood memory of Easter is waking up to find footprint all over the kitchen that the Easter bunny had left, because he walked through the mud on the way to the house.
