This past Tuesday there was a fire at the iconic church in Barcelona. The Sagrada Familia church is one of the main stops in Barcelona. There was about 1,500 people evacuated from the church. The fire wasn't natural; some man set the inside of the church on fire. The man started the fire in the church's crypt. He was arrested soon after. Nobody was hurt and nothing was damaged in the church as far as anyone knows. The church is now closed to the public but will re-open when it is safe for visitors.
I honestly don't know why someone would possibly feel the need to set fire in a church especially one so iconic. It seems quite unnecessary if you ask me. I'm glad to hear that nobody got injured and nothing too bad was done in the church.
