Gymnastics 2010-2011
On the bars or the beam the horse or the floor, it all comes straight down to the score. The gymnastics season has started for the 2010-2011 season. Girls started practice Monday, November 1st, 2010. It was three days of conditioning to get the girls back on track. Let me just say, as a gymnast who has worked out all summer, it was NOT easy! On Thursday of last week, Coach, Mr. Gudmundson let us starting get on the equipment. For those of you who don't know what I mean when I say equipment it is the vault, bars, beam, and the floor. I have seen, being in the gym, a lot of new and exciting things that are going to be happening this year! The focus this year is to be on top, or in other words #1. If you don't know the Madison Bulldogs are a top rival of us, the Deuel Cardinals. The Madison Bulldogs are 16 time state champions and are looking for this to be the 17th, I suppose. The Deuel gymnasts hope to stop their reign, and be called as the first place team. Looking forward to the end of the year state is in Watertown, so it is close to home. It should be an exciting season, so come the home meets and see what you think!
