FCA

Linking our athletes to their faith! What can FCA do for you? “Fellowship of Christian Athletes puts more of a focus back on doing the right thing. It is an organization that uses the Bible or the Gospel as the focus of your life. Relies on faith and the bible, mostly athletes, to make good decisions with God as their back drop, it will help students live their life with their faith.” Principle Steve Benson said. Integrity, serving, teamwork and excellence will be learned through FCA. All Deuel High School students are able to attend the meetings that will be on the first and third Wednesday , of each month, starting at 7:30 and will last an hour. The first meeting is on Wednesday, November 17th, 2010.

Becky Krause, LeAnn Swenson, Kerry Hintz, Tony Quail, Stacy Eide, and Steve Benson are the adult supervisors and the go to people ahead of this program. Is this a brand new idea for the students? “We have had it at our school for years but it fizzled out. I was contacted by Becky Krause asking if I would be a part of it, I like working with students so I accepted.” Benson said. “We want the students to be able to open up in that group and it should stay confidential, so that is why it is only for high school students grades nine through twelve,” quoted Benson.
