This week in P.E. the students are learning and playing a game known as Pickleball. "It's an awesome game," Spencer said. This game is played a lot like tennis and ping-pong combined. "It's really a giant game of ping-pong, right?" Ryan E. asked. He is correct there.
You have net, a wooden or plastic paddle, and a wiffleball (plastic ball with holes in it). The goal is to get the ball across the net without your opponent returning it back to you. The games go to best of seven. In singles the P.E. class its rapid scoring to keep the games moving and get more games in. Rapid scoring, "It's when you score every time on a lost posession," Mr. Gudmunson said. In doubles it's official scoring. "Official scoring is when you can only score when you serve," Mr. Gudmunson said.
There is a doubles contest going on right now and the only team that did not lose on Tuesday was the team of Mr. Gudmunson and Chris D. Today the teams will be switched up again as all of the students will be here this time.
