Lottery Luck

What would you do if you won the lottery? If I won the lottery, there are many things I could spend it on, but I would save most of it I think. I would probably get a lot of clothes just because I love getting new clothes, and probably pay off other things like loans if I had them. I would definitely save a large number of it so that I could have it for emergencies and for the future. I wish that you could actually win the amount of money that the Powerball is worth. I hate that most of the money you win goes to taxes so you don't even get a lot of it.
Wednesday nights Powerball ticket was sold in Mitchell, South Dakota. So more than likely, the winner of the Powerball from last night is a South Dakotan. To find out more about last night's powerball, click here.

Government making a mess?

The South Dakota government has been busy with Daugaard proposing a education cut bill. (Luckily we still have time to see what way it will go.) This has made a lot of people irate including myself. Cutting ten percent of the budget means that schools that are barely making it now will be closed down. Daugaard wants to put this money into South Dakota's its economic development fund. There are other ways to do this. The state could raise taxes one percent. Education has suffered enough. South Dakota is the lowest paying state for teachers. Teachers the people that parents look to guide their children, and to teach them, are being casted out like the rest of the education system. The thing with education is that is like a computer. Take care of it and make sure that it is free of viruses. Ignore getting it its anti-virus software and the computer won't be so reliable. Yes, our test grades are great, but our education is just like a computer. If we want it to work out we have to take care of it, nurture and care for it like it's a baby bird. I just feel what he is doing to us is wrong. It's like he is just trying to get rid of the small schools. Deuel, as small as it maybe, is still doing well.
