Do you text when you drive?

Today the Senate has Okayed a bill that will outlaw texting while driving. It says that you can not read, send, or compose a message while you are driving. If you violate the law you could spend up to 30 days in prison and also a $500 dollar fine. Now that the Senate has passed this bill it now moves on to the South Dakota House. The Senate voted 26-9 to ban texting while driving. Using cell phones is not prohibited. There are still many questions about how will the police know if people have been texting or not?
Personally I think that this law is a good one. You never know what could happen to you when you are driving, now phones, ipods and many other things are distracting us while driving. I think that it is a good thing that the house has passed it onto the senate. But I think that they should have something in their about the police knowing that the drivers were texting. I think that people should not drive and text at the same time because it is a really bad idea, even when some people think they are really good at texting. You do not have your mind on driving when you are using you hands to text, even if it is just on of your hands.
One thing that they should also have in the bill is something about texting while at stop signs and stop lights and places like that, because some people might think that is fine.
