Texting Ban while driving!

Today the ban was made that no one can text and drive. I like that they passed this because that can really save your life. When you text and drive then you aren't paying attention to the road so if an object of lil kid goes out in front of you and you aren't looking then you mite hit the object or even seriously hurt the little kid. The thing that I don't like is the consequence if you do it and get caught. If you were to get caught you would have to pay 500 dollar and 30 days in jail. In my opinion I think that is a lil much to pay and also 30 days in jail? wow...I think that is a long time. There really is no need to text and drive, there is not text that is important enough to text or have to look at while you are driving some where. I understand talking on the phone because that call could be important and it would be rude to ignore it, but at least if you are talking on the phone you could use blue tooth and on the phone you are at least looking at the road. So sense the ban was made I think the road will be more safer sense more people will be paying attention or at least the ones that are following it.
