The varsity girl's basketball team has started their season right. First, on Tuesday night, the Cardinals defeated the Elkton-Lake Benton Lady Elks 46-31. Then, on Thursday night, they beat the Castlewood Warriors 50-34. Both the Elks and the Warriors were the state champions last year in their class. The junior varsity team is doing very well, being 2-0 also. Both teams are looking forward to a great season.The Deuel High School Birdwatcher Staff welcome you to our new online edition. Beating Two Defending State Champs
The varsity girl's basketball team has started their season right. First, on Tuesday night, the Cardinals defeated the Elkton-Lake Benton Lady Elks 46-31. Then, on Thursday night, they beat the Castlewood Warriors 50-34. Both the Elks and the Warriors were the state champions last year in their class. The junior varsity team is doing very well, being 2-0 also. Both teams are looking forward to a great season.
