Elementary Art Classes By: Tina Gniffke

For Christmas the elementary is working on christmasy projects. Mrs. Barb Miller is helping the kids with projects. Like Second grade is working on sponge painting snowmen. Fifth Grade is also sponge painting, poinsettias. They use different sponges and white temperate paint to make Snowmen. Then to make the poinsettias they used sponges and red and green temperate paint. Third Grade is making optical illusions. Then Fourth Grade are making “wax resist” Christmas trees. Wax resist is wax and water colors then they paint beautiful christmas trees. Kindergarten is making construction Christmas trees. They cut different size rectangles and paste them on construction paper then use different materials like ribbon,and glitter. You can see some of their projects pictured online at www.artsonia.com.
