Biology Dissection

Over the last month, Mrs. Barb Schiefelbein's second hour Biology class has been dissecting animals. The class has dissected a worm, starfish, grasshopper, crayfish and a frog.
While the class was learning about simple animals, they dissected a earthworms. They found the mouth, nerve cord, and intestines.
Next the class went on learning about complex animals and dissected a crayfish, a grasshopper, and a starfish. First the class dissected the starfish learning about how they can re-grow parts of their bodies if it gets cut off. Then they dissected the grasshopper which is a joined -leg animal. Next the class dissected crayfish. Last the class dissected the frog while learning about chordates.
The class spent about two days on each dissection.
