AL East

This year the American League East looks very tough. In my opinion, it is the toughest division in baseball. Last year the AL East sent the most surprising team in the MLB to the World Series.
This team was the Tampa Bay Rays. For those of you who kind of know baseball but not really, they were the Devil Rays and the worst team in the league for years, then came out of no where to win the AL East and the AL Pennant.
The Boston Red Sox won the Wild Card which is the fourth team who gets into the playoffs. They were predicted to get the Wild Card but not behind the Rays.
The team that was supposed to win the AL East and win it all for the matter was the New York Yankees. The Yankees were the biggest disappointment in the year mostly because their key players kept getting hurt.
The Toronto Blue Jays have always been a decent team, but they can never keep up with the front-runners in their division. The Blue Jays were just three games behind the Yankees for third place.
The Baltimore Orioles have not been in the top three in the division in at least 10 years. This year was no different for the Orioles as the finished 28.5 games behind the Rays for first.
This year, as much as it hurts me to say it, I believe the Yankees will win the AL East. They added a lot of high priced talent and should be the best team in baseball if healthy. I also think that the Red Sox will again get the Wild Card.
