Titanic

We were told to answer the question, "Why is the titanic still fascinating to people today?", and I would have to say that the thing that makes the Titanic to fascinating to me is that so many people lost there lives on a ship that was said to be unsinkable. The reason why I think that is why I'm fascinated by the fact that the ship sank is because of how little force it took to get the ship to sink. I know that it was a big ice burg, but it was an even bigger ship and you would think that it could take the kind of a hit, but as we all know, it couldn't. Why this was fascinating is because the makers of the ship even took extra pre cations so that if something along the lines of what did happen. The ship had pockets that wold be able to fill up with water and the ship would still be able to float just as fine. What they were not expecting was that all of the pockets would fill on one side only.. not allowing the water to go into the other pockets which made the water go into the first level of the ship. Another thing that might be a reason as to why the Titanic is still so fascinating to people is because of all the stories that are still living in present day about what might have happened. One of the very most popular stories was put into a movie that I am sure you have all seen. If you have not heard, there is a new version of the same story coming out, the new version is in 3D. The fact that there is another movie coming out has grabbed a lot of peoples attention and the fact that it was the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the ship and the deaths of many good people.
