Fast Food

Eating healthy is very important. Many people these days eat out quite often. The places they eat are usually a fast food place or a sit down restaurant. Do they really know the nutrition facts of the places that they eat at?

Fast food or foods that are made to be quick and can be taken on the go. They are also some of the worst foods that you can eat. When you go there, you look at the menu and decide what to get. If you are on a budget or are very frugal you tend to order off of their value menu. At fast food restaurants you are intrigued by the dollar menu. Dollar menus are the one of the worst foods at a fast food restaurant. Many fast food restaurants have a dollar or value menu. These menus are just loaded with calories. When you order food off of the dollar or value menu there is actually only a couple items that have nutritional value. Many of the foods have lots of calories for its size. According to the McDonald's website a McDouble has 390 calories. “I eat fast food maybe twice a month,” said Sophomore Lexi Becht. Junior Alex Stein says that she eats fast food once a week in the spring and in the winter. She also eats fast food twice a month in the fall and in the summer. A reason why Stein eats fast food is because she is hungry. It is also quick and easy for people to stop at a fast food restaurant to get a meal to go. Eating fast food or getting food on the go over a fresh healthy meal is not a healthy choice. When you do that the food turns into to fats, sodium, and sugar, which is not good for your body. Somethings that your body needs is fiber, vitamins, and minerals that your body needs to grow and develop.
