The Flooding Continues

Today is the warmest day of the week so far! It is 63 degrees. Although rain was in the forecast, there hasn't been any rain today. Despite the nice weather, it is a bit breezy, which doesn't make it feel so nice out! It's another great day for the snow to melt, which leads to the big concern and problem of flooding.

On a blog I found, called Global Rumblings, it talked about South Dakota flooding. The South Dakota National Guard continues to prepare and assemble to reduce the impacts of flooding. National Guard leadership has spend most of March planning for and positioning equipment to respond as soon as they are asked to. Eight soldiers were activated to assist with hauling 3,500 sandbags to reinforce lift stations at Lake Kampeska, new Watertown (Global Rumblings).
