Northern State University is located in Aberdeen, SD. With around 25,000 this town provides a safe environment and friendly neighbors along with an awesome educational opportunity at NSU. NSU is known to be one of the most beautiful campuses in the Midwest. With a wellness center constructed in 2006, designed for movement classes such as Aerobic, Pilates, and Kickboxing. With around 60 programs, there are many opportunities at NSU. There are also many clubs and organizations, 59 to be exact, at NSU, from Environmental Club to Rodeo Club. In the fall of 2007, there were 2,555 students enrolled at NSU. With 73 restaurants in Aberdeen you can also eat out, other than eating from your meal plan, while going to college here. I think that NSU is a good college, but personally, I don't like Aberdeen. I think it would be a boring college town. Also, I would like a bigger college, around 2,500 students enrolled seems too small for me! NSU does have very good programs and many alumni of Northern have been very successful.
