Fun for All Ages at the Harvest Moon Festival

Are you in need of more home décor for the fall season? The Clear Lake Community Center welcomes you to the Harvest Moon Festival on Saturday, October 30th , running from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. People of all ages are welcome to come shop around at all of the booths. At the festival you will see the Art Club, and many crafters with their homemade goods.

The Deuel High School Art Club members are busy purchasing supplies for the children to use at the festival. Art Club Advisor, Mrs. Barbara Miller said, “The Art Club is in charge of keeping the children entertained while their parents are busy shopping around.” They are going to have the kids build scarecrows by using cookies as the base of them. The reason for the Art Club doing this event is so that they can get money to use for scholarships, field trips, and other odds and ends supplies that they may need. “In previous years the Art Club has sold pumpkins, decorated candles, and many other decorations for the fall season,” said Mrs. Miller.

At the festival you will see crafters and their own homemade goods that they have created, along with the Art Club to entertain your children. They include jewelry, baked goods, cooking utensils, and other kinds of home goods. So come on down to the Community Center to find just about anything to decorate your home.
