Girls Basketball from Feb. 27th
On Friday, the Deuel girls team traveled to Brookings to take on bitter rival Sioux Valley at the Swiftel Center. The girls had high hopes going all through the season and it lead up to this moment. The game was close at the end of the first quarter, but Sioux Valley pulled ahead and led by nine at half-time. The Cossacks never looked back from that point on. They led by 11 after the third quarter. The final score of the game was 55-45, Sioux Valley would move on to play in the Region game on Thursday in Webster. "The girls just couldn't get the shots to go," fan Landon Krause said. The Deuel girls basketball team ended with a 17-4 record overall on the season.
