Girls Basketball from the 13th and the 16th

On Friday the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones came to Cardinal country to take on our number 3 in the state Deuel Cardinals. Clark/Willow lake was also the number 9 team in the state as well. This game was a, "good ol' fashioned NEC battle," said Clark Toben about the game later. After the first quarter the Cardinals had a commanding 17-9 lead. But at the end of the 4th it was tied 58-58. In the end the Cyclones were too much for the Cardinals. They ended up losing 64-67 in overtime. Jenna V. and Jayda S. both had 17 points to lead the Deuel girls. On Monday the girls went down south to DeSmet to play the Lady Bulldogs. The girls seemed to have no trouble with their LCC foe. They defeated DeSmet 64-34. The girls record is 15-3 and is first in their district. The girls have their final game at home against Redfield on Friday night.
