Lights, Curtains, and Action

Today we had another seven in the morning practice. It's early, but it's needed. We practiced "Power to the People," which is the opening song to the whole musical. It's the song that starts the energy for the whole show, so it's important. I am excited for the show, but also a bit nervous. Which everyone probably, especially the people who haven't been in shows very often. There is a lot to be expected with people on a show. It may be fun, but it's a lot of hard work. It's important to look happy and to have each wind mill strong. (A wind mill is a back and forth action with your hands.) Anyway, my point is that it's a great idea to have strong actions, it important to over embellish actions. If it feels stupid then your doing it right. It may feel foolish, but it's not. It look really well from the audience, and that is what really matters.
