Autism Speaks

I have a dear friend whose family has been affected by autism. In gaining this remarkable friend, it has also raised my attention to the issue. "Autism is a disability, not a disease," Senior, Kyle Pederson from Deuel High school tells me.
Autism Speaks is a great website which may help you to better understand how the disability affects the host, treatment options, and other issues affecting the family and patient of the diagnosis. The idea for the organization comes from a good place in Bob and Suzanne Wright's hearts. The Wrights' are parents to a child with autism and grandparents.  The goal of the organization is to raise enough money for awareness, treatments, preventions, and cures for autism.

Get yourself involved, or in the least.... informed.autism-children.jpg
With a certain twinkle of pride in his eyes "Everyone sould be aware of the effects of autism. People with disabilites are not sick and do not have a diesease, they want what we all want... to be accepted."
