This year for Thanksgiving instead of going to my grandma's, my friend Karli Hintz invited me to go to Arizona to visit her family.
After school on Monday we loaded up the car and headed to Sioux Falls to board the plane. We stopped in Brookings to pick up my mom and graped a quick bit to eat at McDonal's. Once we got to the airport we got our tickets, got your begs checked, then waited and waited for the plane to arrive. Our plane was delayed about 40 minutes and we had to board at a different gate. I didn't think that our delay was to long because there was a plane going to Orlando were like fours hours late and they had to wait three more hours. While me and Karli were waiting we had a lovely chat with an elder lady sitting next to us. She was going to visit her two sons in Arizona for Thanksgiving. She really wasn't to glad that she had to wait but she felt bad for the super late plane to Orlando.
We finally bored the plane and got our seat way in the back. I thought that the plane ride took forever. I was so board and Karli was way into her book and no one sat in the seat next to us. Karli let me sit by the window so I got to look at all the lights. It was so cool. When we went over a big town there were lights everywhere. I tried to take a picture but it didn't work out to well. Then the flight attendant told us that we were about to land and my ear stared going crazy! They kept popping and they hurt so bad. I thought that the landing was so scary. I was nuts. It felt like we sped up to stop. We landed at about midnight here one o'clock back at home. I thought that they airport was pretty sweet. When you walked in form the plane there were trees and cute little benches everywhere. Karli's uncle and aunt picked us up at the airport. Then we had about a 15-20 minute drive to their house. I love their house. It is so cute and their back yard is AMAZING. Karli and I graped a bit to eat and then headed to bed.
This morning we woke up to ducks quacking in the lake in their back yard. And now our only dilemma is deciding what we are going to do today.
