New Wrestling Cheer Coach

Hip hip hooray! Ellen Schmahl is here to save the day! The wrestling cheerleaders have been looking for a new coach for awhile since the original cheer coach decided to resign. Ellen was asked by the school and decided she could take on the job as the new wrestling cheer coach for the rest of the season.

Ellen Schmahl started the beginning of last month. She has said she is enjoying her job so far except for the early 4:45 in the morning wake ups to get on the bus on a Saturday. Schmahl thought it would be a great job for her since she goes to all the matches anyway due to her son, Spencer, wrestling. She mentioned the only thing that changes would be riding the bus instead of driving herself.

Her favorite thing about being the coach is meeting and getting to know the girls. Stephanie Stee said, “My favorite thing about Ellen is she is very organized and gets things done.” Paige TeGantvoort said, “I like how Ellen knows what she's talking about and can always put in her 2 cents about things.”Ellen said the four cheerleaders are a great group and fun to work with.
