Essays in American History!

In American History today, the juniors had to write an essay on U.S. imperialism. This essay was the classes' test for the chapter. You had to persuade the reader whether or not you thought U.S. imperialism was a good idea or not. Some were for it and some were against it. The class got to use their book and any other resources they would like. There was not a specific length; you just had to prove your point. To the right is a picture of Abigail Trieb working on her essay.

The Crucible

The junior class is reading the Crucible. So far it is going pretty well. We read about six to ten pages a day and then answer some questions. Miss. Eggers then gives a quiz over what we had just read. It's an interesting read I will admit. I love how Arthur Miller wrote this play about McCarthyism it really shows how you can relate something that is going on now, to the past. The play has some facts in it, but it also has something that may not of happened.
