Newspapers a Must

Today we have to write out opinion about with of Thomas Jefferson's quotes we agree with. The two quotes are "Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without government, I should hesitate for a moment to prefer the latter." That was before he was president after he was president he said, "Even the least informed of the people have learnt that nothing in a newspaper is to be believed."

I think that I agree with the first one more. I think that it is important for people the know what is going on in the world and the newspaper and other news media is the best way to get that information. I understand that some news places can be bias and lean more one way then the other. That is because people have their own opinion about things and it is hard to keep that out when you are reporting on the news. Im not sure how people could hear about things that happen all over the world with out newspapers and other media. I think that newspaper and other media are great way to learn about what is going on in the world.
