Deuel track runners, throwers, and jumpers will all be competing in their first meet this Friday, March 25th, 2011. They will be traveling to NSU in Aberdeen with their coaches for an indoor track meet. The field events will start at 1:00 with running events starting at 3:00. These athletes have been preparing for almost two weeks come Friday. The cold weather this past week has made it difficult to get a lot accomplished with running and other workouts outdoors, but with the two gyms here at the school they have been able to manage and prepare to the best of their ability that they can with what they have to use. This previous week on Monday the track kids had a workout outside before we got all this unwanted snow on Tuesday. Tuesday up till today they have and will be doing specialties in the gym, which concentrate on one specific event they will be competing in. The team will have several people competing in this meet trying to bring up a high team score as well as placing as high as they can as an individual.
