Last night, Tuesday January 4th, the Deuel JV gymnasts competed against Milbank, Britton-Hecla, and Sisseton. The meet started at 6:00 p.m and five girls got to compete on each event. The Deuel JV started on bars, meaning they went to bars, then beam, floor, and lastly vault. The meet was about two hours long and was very interesting to watch. The varsity gymnasts had to help at the meet being score flashers and score sheet runners. This meaning that the varsity girls had to show the persons score to the crowd and had to take the score sheets to the head table so the results could be tabulated. Our JV is definitely improving. Two of the main contenders on the team, not to give any one person more credit, are Karina (freshman) and Stephanie (eight grader). Karina won the all-around with Stephani respectively in second. All the girls did very good at the meet though, don't get me wrong. Also, they have been scoring over 100 points as a team, which is outstanding! So finish out your season strong ladies, you have been doing great this year!
