Catching Up

It is the start of a brand new year! Things aren't much different in school this semester. One change was moving from personal finance to geography. I would say that was about the only major change in my school life. Now to sports, gymnastics sure starts to get busy this time of the year. In January we gymnasts go to a meet every week and even sometimes twice a week. Then we move in to February where we go to the big meets for the year: NEC, regions, and state.

For me the week right after state I will be going to Rapid City for a gymnastics meet. Gymnastics doesn't end until the end of March/beginning of April. This is of course if you don't make it to region, which I hope I will. If you make it to regions you could potentially qualify for nationals, which are in California this year. If I did make it to both of those I wouldn't be done competing until the second weekend in May.

Amongst all of the gymnastics I will also be doing track. I plan on doing high jump again for my second year and probably some other events too. I would love to make it to state again this year, and hopefully do WAY better than I did last year. Another thing I am looking forward to is finishing up my sophomore year, and starting the summer.

So, this is what's new in the life of Sam. When you think about it all things I have planned I am going to be one busy girl. You should see my day planner, it is really full, and sometimes I wonder how I actually have time for all the things I do. Time management is something that you learn, very well, when you do that kind of stuff every year since you were little. That's what it is all about though, time management, if you want to stay sane that is!
