Is faster better?

Is faster better, is convenience more important? In some ways yes, but in most, no not really. Fast food is anything that is fast, easy and convenient to make. Americans are so worried about obesity, and yet we get more and more people who go to fast food restaurants everyday. Now, I am not saying going to a fast food restaurant is bad, I am just saying you should go to them in moderation.
Fast food is usually full of fat, calories, cholesterol, and sodium. With that said though, fast food isn't necessarily "bad." All food has some nutritional value, but you need to think about how much of it you decide to consume. It isn't that people don't want to take care of their bodies, it's that fast food is way more convenient than going and cooking for yourself.
The thing to remember is you dont' have to go to a fast food restaurant everyday. Though, if you do you, you should probably think about changing your ways, mostly for you health It takes 30 days to break a habit, so try for one week to go with out fast food first.
There are great benefits for to getting away from fast food. It can make you feel better, and you will see a change. The key is to start out small and work you way up to where you want to be, you don't want to go to fast in a situation like this. It will take a while for you to break old habits, but stay strong.

  1. I think this is very important to think about, Sam, not only for students, but for parents and our community members to think about as well. One important item to note: most of the 'mom and pop' restaurants in small communities are not fast food and are still in a healthier category than some of the fast food places you mention.
