Cross Country

When you think about a cross country meet you think about kids running their hardest but that's not always the case. Yesterday the high school cross country team went to DeSmet. Yes, the team did in fact run but thats not the only thing they did. The team build a giant human pyramid. The team usually makes a 6 person pyramid at every meet but yesterday they decided to step it up. This time they had 5 people in bottom then 4 people, next they had 3 last they got to 2 people but couldn't get the last person on top to finish the pyramid. The team hasn't given up yet they are going too complete the pyramid on Thursday after their meet in Webster for NEC.

The DeSmet meet is a smaller meet because it is an LCC meet where about 25 runners in each race, The varsity girls wanted to get first but ended up getting second. "We may not have gotten first like we hoped, but we all worked hard and stayed together. To me, working hard as a team together is just as good as getting frist, said Karli Hintz. The boys team got fourth.
