Contracts between Parents and Kids

The article I found was about parents having contracts with their kids about driving. The contract includes things like maintaing good grades to keep driving and other things.
I personally think the contracts are not necessary. I think parents should be more trustworthy with their kids. A contract is really not needed if you have the trust there. There are studies that have shown kids and parents with contracts are half as likely to get in a car crash. My opinion is there are plenty of kids and parents without contracts that are not getting into car crashes. As long as you have a trust with your parent, you should not have to have a contract.
