African art
The Deuel School library had a new exhibit on display! There is now African art! The art was donated by John and Pat Luecke. It was first given to Mrs. Miller, since she does an African unit in her art class. Mrs. Miller thought it should be displayed in the library, so she set up the display. This art was actually from Africa and not manufactured in a factory, but made by tribes. Some of the the art came from John's sister and her husband who worked for Texas A&M for 4 years. The rest of the art was from John and his brother you went on a mission trip to Sierra Leon on the Ivory Coast of Africa in 1990. Pat Lueke also went on a mission trip to Honduras and brought back Central American money. "Its on display for all age groups to enjoy and learn about the culture and history of Africa."
