The eighth grade students are taking exploratory classes. These classes include Drivers Education, Reading, Industrial Arts, and Agriculture. They switch classes every nine weeks. These classes are new this year, because they wanted to put Driver’s Education in the curriculum. The teachers for these classes are Mrs. Walder, Mrs. Eggers, Mrs. Tvedt, Mr. Karels, and Mr. Tvedt. These classes help the students explore the options that high school has for them.
The industrial arts teacher; Mr. Tvedt said, “My favorite part of teaching this class is the excitement and interest with this age level of students.” As of now this class is working on their CO 2 dragsters and getting them ready to compete to see who has made the fastest car in the eighth grade.
