Dr. Seuss' Birthday

All the Preschool thru fifth grade gathered in the big gym on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2:45 to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. Mrs. Tekrony said, "First we sang a song, told some riddles, read The Foot Book and the students did the actions, the teachers acted out Green Eggs and Ham, sang and did the action to La Seuss, and finished with singing Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss."

"Watching the kids do the action and sing La Seuss and the skit that the teacher did with Green Eggs and Ham was the funniest part. In some of the classroom the teacher read different Dr. Seuss books, did different Dr. Seuss activities, and Preschool did Wacky Wednesday and read the book," said Tekrony. The Elementary staff try to at least two of these programs a year. They did one for Halloween and now the Dr. Seuss.
