Barack Obama reveled that they are putting in a almost 1 trillion dollar economic stimulus package. Obama said yesterday that with in the next year the economy is going to worsen. The economic crisis is so great that Obama and his economic team now believe that nothing less than the stimulus package is needed. Obama refused to put a cost on the plan, but senior Democrats are talking about 700 billion dollars. with others saying up to 1 trillion. When he met the nation’s governors last week he was told that there was $136 billion worth of building projects on the state level ready to go if federal money was made available.
I think that it is a good idea because our economy is struggling. It is going to keep struggling if so meting is not done. I believe that this is what needs to be done to help the economy. Obama may be the most successful president the fastest. Once the money is put in I think that the economy is going to get better faster.
