Freshmen, Adam Krause was one of January’s students of the month. He is involved in Wrestling, 4-H, and youth group. Adam said “I like to go hunting, fishing, or spend time outdoors.” A life goal of Adam’s is to get a good job. “Get along with your teachers, study hard, and stay off your computer when your not suppose to use it,” he said is his advice for other students. One of Adam’s memories from school is this year when Nathan tried to throw something at him, but missed and hit Mr. Gudmundson. He likes student of the month, because he thinks the parking space will come in handy.
The other student of the month for January is junior, Ashley McCormick. She is involved in Chorus, Band, NHS, Student Council, Key Club, and post prom committee. “I like to hang out with my family and friends, I love movie nights, and fun random stuff like that like going to Wal-Mart,” said Ashley. Ashley’s advice for other students is to be nice to everyone, because no one is better than you are; you never know the effect it might have on a person by smiling and saying “hi” in the hallway. Ashley likes being student of the month, because she likes the front row parking and not having to eat school food one day is nice too. Ashley likes going to school to see her friends everyday and talking to people who she wouldn’t normally get the chance to talk to outside of school is really nice.
